There are NO recommended prerequisites for this course.

Pre-Math 11:
This course is designed to prepare students for the concepts covered in Foundations of Math 11 or Pre-Calculus 11.  If you have previously taken Workplace Math 11 or it has been several years since you have taken a math course, it is strongly suggested that you enroll in Pre-Math 11 to ensure your success in the other courses.

Foundations of Math 11:
This course is designed to provide students with the mathematical understanding & skills required for some post-secondary programs and for Pre-Calculus 11 and Foundations of Math 12. Topics include inductive and deductive reasoning, geometry, trigonometry, statistical and proportional reasoning and functions and equations.
RECOMMENDED PREREQUISITE:  Foundations of Math and Pre-Calculus 10 or Pre-Math 11. Workplace Math 10 or 11 is not a sufficient prerequisite and students should first consider taking Pre-Math courses at LEC to review and upgrade their basic algebra skills.

Foundations of Math 12:
This course is designed to provide students with the math skills required for post-secondary programs in the social sciences, humanities, & arts. This course is often used as an alternate pre-requisite to Pre-Calculus 11 for post-secondary programs. Topics include finance, permutations, combinations, and probability, as well as graphing, solving, and performing regressions for polynomial, exponential, logarithmic and trigonometric functions.
RECOMMENDED PREREQUISITE:  Foundations of Math 11 or Pre-Calculus 11

Pre-Calculus 11:
This course is designed to provide students with the math skills required for post-secondary programs that involve math or science. Topics include sequences and series, trigonometry, quadratic functions and equations, radicals, rational expressions and equations, absolute value and reciprocal functions, and systems of equations and inequalities.
RECOMMENDED PREREQUISITE:  Foundations of Math and Pre-Calculus 10. Workplace Math 10 or 11 is not a sufficient prerequisite and students should first consider taking Pre-Math courses at LEC to review and upgrade their basic algebra skills.

Pre-Calculus 12:
This course is designed to provide students with the math skills required for post-secondary programs that involve math or science. Topics include graphing, transforming, and solving polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric equations, as well as working with sequences and series.
RECOMMENDED PREREQUISITE:  Pre-Calculus 11
